Morning Prayer & Coffee Hour, May 17, 2020

Reflection for the Sixth Sunday of Easter

Worship is the practice of acknowledging, together with others, that God is worthy of our praise and our attention. As we fast from worshiping together in the same place, let us promise ourselves that, when we can meet again, we will worship, gather before God with our sisters and brothers in faith, with full awareness of the privilege and blessing that it is to be able to do so in person. And “while we are apart, one from the other,” let us find ways to remember that worship is the fourth step in walking the Way of Love (Turn, Learn, Pray, and Worship) that we invite to deepen and strengthen our walk with Jesus Christ.

We miss each other’s personal presence, but we know that we are together in the Body of Christ. Let us cherish that knowledge, and make it a part of every Spirit-lifted breath that we take.

May God bless you, Jesus walk with you, the Spirit lift you in the week ahead. Each day in the week ahead will have a quote about worship that I hope will strengthen and cheer all of us.

With love,

Mother Georgia+
