| Our country, and much of the world, face crises that arise from an abused environment, a pandemic that may have been in part a result of the abused environment, deep divides in societies resulting in violence and hostility towards those regarded as “the other,” and financial inequities that allow heads of corporations to make 100 times what the employees that create their wealth are earning. Similar difficulties arose when the prophet Jeremiah warned the people of Judah of the dangers they faced if they did not return to faithful following of God. There are no simple answers to the challenges the world faces now. However, the commandments Jesus gave us are a good place to start, and listening to prophetic voices may indicate ways to change the direction the world seems to be headed. | COFFEE HOUR We will be hosting a Live Virtual Coffee hour on-line via Zoom this Sunday from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. You may join at anytime and stay for as long as you like during the session.
